The Women of Lift Bridge have teamed up to brew something extra special in honor or International Women’s Day coming up March 8th. While a large part of this beer creation is to raise awareness of various roles women hold in the beer industry by highlighting men aren’t the only ones ‘wearing the pants’ in brewhouses, it’s also raising awareness and donations for our neighbors at Valley Outreach, a Stillwater non-profit that provides food, clothing and support to people in need. Free the Bibs Dunkelweizen is a medium dark German wheat beer with notes of chocolate, coffee and a banana yeast character. Light roast and a mild bitterness with a full, soft mouth feel.
While a potion of the proceeds from this brew will go directly to Valley Outreach, you can also support them in another way. Women in the United States struggle to achieve adequate menstrual hygiene due to lack of access/income and Valley Outreach has a specific need for these types of donations. Find the blue bin in the Lift Bridge Taproom starting March 8th to drop fully packaged/new feminine hygiene products while you’re in trying this brew fresh off the tap.
You can also directly help your neighbors in need via Valley Outreach by visiting valleyoutreachmn.org
This brew is available on tap in the Stillwater Taproom TODAY and in Crowlers tomorrow. 🍻
