This Saturday we release our 2023 Commander Barleywine at both @liftbridgestillwater + @liftbridgenewrichmond. Commander will be on draft and available in 750ml bottles to-go. In addition to 2023 Commander we will also be featuring a rotating lineup of vintage, variant, and rare Commanders on draft and in bottles to-go throughout the day in our cellar raid.

Commander is our English Style Barleywine Ale brewed with heavy fists of malts and subtle, sweet Cardamom. Aged in Bourbon Barrels, its bold, complex flavor reaches heights measured only by the building of its namesake. This 12.5% ABV treat is best enjoyed in smaller portions when you have some time to savor it.

2023 Commander Blending Day! 📸

This morning we meticulously sampled through a variety of bourbon barrels containing our barleywine, some of which have been resting in our cellar since 2017. Once our team decides which barrels complement each other best, the barrels are then blended together to ultimately become Commander Barleywine 2023.

Taste the end result at our Stillwater taproom on November 18th during our Commander Release Party from noon to 10pm where we`ll have 2023 Commander on draft, in 750ml bottles to-go, and one brewer-selected single barrel to sample from directly.
