Lift Bridge Brewery took home 2 awards from the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild’s MN Brewers Cup Competition, thestate-wide, blind taste-test competition for Minnesota breweries and brewpubs.
Mango Blonde, our light bodied blonde ale, with a subtle mango sweetness, took home 1st place in theFruit Beer category. Taking home 2nd place award in the Imperial Stouts & Baltic Porters category, BarrelAged Silhouette. Our rich and full bodied Imperial Stout aged for up to 4 years in Bourbon Barrels.
This year, the Brewers Cup Competition had 450 beers entered from 85 breweries and brewpubs inthe state. Beers were submitted to 26 categories based on beer style. The submissions were judgedblind by 20 beer judges based on how well eachsubmission represented the standards of its style. Thetop three in each style category, along with the top three overall, were announced at anindustry-only awards ceremony on Thursday night.
